As an exhibitor at this year’s British APCO show, Europe’s leading, multi-agency forum in public safety communications, we were able to showcase our IT service offering and highlight our work with a number of Fire & Rescue Service providers.
It was good to meet representatives from Essex County Fire & Rescue Services too. They were interested in understanding in more detail the Code of Connection compliance work we had undertaken with Warwickshire Fire & Rescue Services and Northampton Fire & Rescue Service, helping integrate Capita communication and control solutions.
In what became something of a theme, information risk management and security consultants, Aristi, dropped by our stand to discuss ISO compliance and share notes on our respective work with the Code of Connection (CoCo).
Our monitoring solutions caused a lot of interest and not just amongst the blue-light services, but any organisation that relies on a robust and secure IT infrastructure and network – just about everyone then!
We supply a large range of IT and telephony hardware, but rarely show any when we exhibit. This show was different however, as we not only received huge interest in the Sennheiser SP20 we were showing, but plenty of orders too.
The Sennheiser SP 20 is a premium portable speakerphone designed to work on PC/softphone and mobile phone or tablet, to allow business professionals on the go make personal and small group conference calls. Thanks to a busy day of sales, we can now count South Wales Police and West Midlands Police amongst our clients.
Work didn’t end when the exhibition closed for the day either, as the Annual Dinner on the first night of the event was a great opportunity to make new contacts in what was labelled as the business networking event of the year.
All in all a great event and one already marked on the calendar for next year.
