The Quiss Social Committee is excited to announce our latest fundraising event, “The Big Quiss Walk,” aimed at raising vital funds for St Giles Hospice. This event embodies our commitment to giving back to the community and supporting a local charity that makes a lasting impact on people’s lives.

The Big Quiss Walk offers participants the chance to walk various distances, ensuring inclusivity for all fitness levels. Our team members are thrilled to be part of this meaningful initiative, walking alongside their families, friends, and individuals who share the same drive to support this worthy cause.
Our Commitment
The Quiss Social Committee is dedicated to making this event a success. Our efforts include:
- Fundraising: Gathering sponsors and utilising our St Giles JustGiving page to maximise contributions.
- Volunteering: Committee members will be present to support logistics and ensure the event runs smoothly.
- Walking: Encouraging participation from our team to walk and inspire support.
Why This Matters
St Giles Hospice provides essential care for individuals living with terminal illnesses, with annual costs amounting to nearly £10 million. Only 18% of these funds come from government support, making community initiatives and donations crucial to their operations. The Big Quiss Walk is our opportunity to contribute meaningfully to this cause and amplify awareness of the hospice’s mission.
So far, we’ve raised £317 through in-office events towards our overall goal of £3,500, which we hope to achieve by the end of the year. For the Big Quiss Walk specifically, our aim is to secure £1,500 in sponsorships. Achieving this will bring us close to half our overall goal.
