Challenge complete!

So after months of training, this weekend, Team Quiss took on the challenge of the Cotswold Way, walking 100km from Bath to Cheltenham.

We knew it wasn’t going to be easy but we never expected it to be quite so gruelling!

After an alarm call of 4.30 am on Saturday morning we donned our walking boots and piled into the minibus to take us to the start line. With rucksacks fully stocked with Compeed’s, plasters, spare socks, painkillers, water and snacks we were off.

The route was gruelling to say the least and over the course of the route we climbed 2322m. To put that into perspective that is similar to Ben Nevis and Snowdon added together! When we signed up we originally thought the route was fairly flat so we were in for a shock.

The added difficulty was the heat which was in the high twenties for the whole weekend and really took it’s toll on everyone involved.

We are proud of our achievement and have raised over £6,500 for Alzheimer’s Society for which we are so grateful to everyone who has donated. There is still time to donate if you would like to at the link below:
