Legal Support Network (LSN) host a number of networking events across the year. Through our association with LSN, we have had the benefit of attending a number of them over the last 12 months or so. These events are exclusive in that they can only be attended by those who work for law firms, or businesses like Quiss Technology who support the activities of LSN.
In addition to regional events held across the UK in locations such as Birmingham, Bristol and Leeds, they also run larger national events in London. Their latest national event was held at The Anthologist London on Monday 14th March and I was delighted to have the opportunity to attend.
LS10, as it was named, was an informal networking event attended by over 430 law firms. Attendees included those working in Finance, Technology, Marketing, Human Resources, Risk & Compliance and Practice Management to name a few.
The idea was for everyone to enjoy a drink or two whilst discussing the challenges they face, perhaps in the hope that someone else has faced a similar problem and will share their experience.
After attending one of the first events in 2015, I was left somewhat frustrated as it appeared that the perception of who Quiss are and what we do had not been fully understood. The effect of this was that many of the attendees were reluctant to speak to me for fear that I was a threat to their job! (see Blog article dated 9th October 2015).
To address this issue, we decided to run some editorial and an interview piece in LPM magazine to set the record straight and address just how Quiss can help law firms. I was pleased to see that the message seems to be getting out there now as the reception I received at this latest LSN event was much more positive and many interesting conversations were had.
I look forward to the next event!
