Sustainability is a key driver to the development of our business because we understand that as a business we have a responsibility to preserve and protect the environment. We are committed to pursuing our business activities with integrity, always behaving ethically, and ensuring we protect the environment and engage in positive ways with our local communities.

Our sustainability policy is designed to focus the efforts of all our employees, whilst providing clear, achievable targets to work towards. We are committed to reviewing and improving our policies to reflect current thinking.

We promote reduced travel distances or duplication and encourage car sharing on journeys from home to the office or when travelling to the same destination for client visits. Whilst we see value in meeting our clients face to face, for potentially short meetings we actively encourage telephone conferencing rather than travelling.

We endeavour to fix as many problems as possible through our remote helpdesk activities to reduce the need for travel to client locations.

We actively reduce energy consumption by raising awareness within the firm of ways to preserve energy and limit our energy usage outside of office hours by switching off all unnecessary equipment overnight. The low energy lights used in our offices are on motion sensors to reduce energy consumption in less trafficked corridors and offices. Wherever possible, we utilise energy efficient equipment and always look to increase the energy efficiency of our offices and practices.

We try to reduce our consumption of paper and promote recycling of waste, particularly paper and cardboard. We are currently reviewing the use of paper forms and recording sheets, with a view to reducing paper before switching to paperless files across the business in the longer term.
We constantly review our supply chain and pursue a policy of ethical purchasing where possible. We seek out local suppliers to help reduce transport costs, and to support the local business communities.

We continue to promote diversity and equality, in line with our Equal Opportunities policy and continue to develop our business ethically and economically in a way that promotes stability and growth for the future.
